Quality Technician

Job Summary

Pivotal Health Solutions manufacturers chiropractic, athletic training, massage, and medical products and follows medical device regulations for marketing of our products globally.  The Quality Technician works with the Quality Director and Engineering to write and update quality, technical, and regulatory documents including device user manuals for finished products manufactured by Pivotal Health Solutions.  This position also assists with audits, performs final testing and shipping of the Apollo laser product line, and will be trained to back up the quality inspector on incoming and final inspection.  This position interacts with the entire Pivotal team and will be a key part of ensuring that Pivotal Health manufacturers high quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage product manuals.  
    • Organize product specifications, product operational details, and regulatory information to create product user manuals.  
    • Revise product manuals to reflect engineering and regulatory changes.
  • Update technical file documentation and other regulatory documents and maintain the QualityWeb.
  • Assist with the organization of data into metrics for trending.
  • Perform final testing on Apollo products prior to shipment and package Apollo products for shipment.
  • Maintain a good understanding of all products and assist with incoming part inspection and final inspection.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge on Pivotal quality and regulatory requirements and assist with quality and regulatory changes and improvements for maintenance of ISO 13485/MDSAP certification.  
  • As proficiency is gained in base job responsibilities it is expected this position will also:
    • Perform internal audits.
    • Assist with external audits.
    • Manage the calibration schedule and facility calibrations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to understand and communicate mechanical processes and technical specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all PHS employees.
  • Ability to interpret and work from oral and written instructions.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activity.
  • Actively participates, understands and promotes corrective actions as part of normal job duties.
  • Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage multiple tasks/duties.
  • High school diploma/GED required.  Previous quality / technical experience, or an Undergraduate Degree a plus.
  • This position is approximately 80% computer work, 20% working with parts and products which may include lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectations.

1st Shift Production Assemblers

Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking 1st Shift Production Assemblers to join our team in the manufacturing of athletic training and chiropractic equipment. Production assemblers will be responsible for producing finished products through various types of assembly and manufacturing. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assemble components into finished products on time and to PHS quality standards 
  • Utilize variety of hand tools, fixtures, and test equipment to build product orders
  • Utilize work instructions to follow established assembly procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Utilize Kanban system to restock depleted parts and materials
  • Other duties as assigned

1st Shift Production Upholsterers

Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking 1st Shift Production Upholsterers to join our team in the manufacture of athletic training and chiropractic equipment. 1st Shift Production Upholsterers will be responsible for all activities related to the manufacture of upholstery products and cushions. Will train. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Layout and cut vinyl fabric 
  • Sew vinyl and miscellaneous fabrics
  • Prepare cushion substrate for final upholstery assembly
  • Prepare cushion foam for final upholstery assembly
  • Stretch and staple vinyl cushions
  • Maintain clean and organized work area
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Utilize Kanban system to restock depleted materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Applications must have good communication skills 
  • Applicants must be detail oriented, dependable, and work well in a team environment.
  • Applicants must be able to bend, stoop, reach high and low, and lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Experience

  • Previous upholstery experience strongly preferred 
  • Cushion stretching and stapling
  • Vinyl pattern layout and cutting
  • Sewing

Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking 1st shift Wood Fabricators to join our team in the manufacturing of athletic training and locker room equipment. Wood fabricators will be responsible for producing finished products through various types of assembly and manufacturing. Will train. This is a full-time position.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and CNC equipment to manufacture wood lockers, athletic training equipment, etc.

  • Maintain clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Utilize Kanban system to restock depleted parts and materials
  • Other duties as assigned
